A wonderful group of Baylor's honors students at the Corey house this evening for a feast to celebrate their dedicated work this semester. Baylor's honors students are among the very brightest in the country! I'm blessed to have them.
...will be speaking about civil discourse at Baylor University this Friday afternoon at 1:30 in Waco Hall. Come one come all! Please join Baylor President Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D. for a conversation on civil discourse as part of the Baylor Conversation Series, featuring nationally renowned speakers and friends Robert P. George, Ph.D. and Cornel West, Ph.D. These national leaders speak together often about the importance of learning to disagree with respect, civility and humor.
Dr. George is the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University, while Dr. West is Professor of the Practice of Public Philosophy at Harvard University and Professor Emeritus at Princeton University. A hearty thank you to Trinity University and to the ISI Club there for inviting me to speak on moral ambiguities in war. The Trinity students seemed especially engaged and bright, and the Q&A afterwards was terrific!
Great to see so many friends at the annual dinner for the Religious Freedom Institute (RFI), a most worthy 501 (c) (3).
An outstanding study of the theological origins of liberalism and the theology behind Rawls's revisionary liberalism.
