Enjoying a few days in Washington, D.C. for the annual meeting of the American Political Science Association. My paper, "Political Philosophy as Apprenticeship and Practice," was a real joy to write -- an effort to celebrate the approach to political philosophy I learned from my teachers at Louisiana State University in the late 1990s.
I love the feeling of starting a new semester. Fall 2019 will be a great one with classes in Waco and in Washington, D.C. I'm especially excited to teach this course on Liberalism. See the syllabus below. Enjoying a week of teaching in Seattle with the Intercollegiate Studies Institute at their summer honors conference. Great colleagues here: Jim Stoner (one of my graduate school professors), Aurelian Craiutu, Mark David Hall, Molly McGrath, Richard Reinsch II, Rachel Ferguson, Harrison Kleiner, Doug Brandow, and Victor V. Claar.
